Well I went and did it. I started last weekend making pasty's. Since then I have made 3 batches experimentally, making adjustments to ingredients, size and presentation. Well I must say they have turned out quite nicely. I will have them up on the website in the next day or so for you to look at. I make really big ones and are they good to eat. We have already started selling them, and the customers love them. How could they not. After all the look great just seeing one for the first time. Those Welch miners wives knew what they were making to feed their husbands all those years ago. We are making Iron Mountain, Michigan Pasty's. They are the famous basic pasty that all others were made from. Iron Mountain had a lot of Welch miners mining the iron ore out or Iron Mountain in the middle to late 1800's and they brought the Pasty with them.
